What is "Gross Salary"? (給与の収入金額)
This is your total salary for each month before any taxes or social insurance are deducted. Look for the largest number on your payslip (給与明細書), often labeled `総支給額` (sōshikyūgaku). If a month's salary is zero, enter 0.

This section is for the `扶養控除等申告書`. Add relatives you financially support who meet the income requirements.
Dependents 16 or over (for Deduction)

Dependents under 16 (for Inhabitant's Tax)

While there is no income tax deduction for dependents under 16, you must declare them here for inhabitant tax purposes. Their address will be assumed to be the same as yours.

Your Personal Status

Check any of the following boxes that apply to YOU. Your dependent's disability status should be declared when you add them in other steps.

Fill out these sections only if they apply to your specific situation. Most people can leave these blank.
Dependents Claimed by Another Person (Section D)

List any dependents in your household (spouse, children) who are being claimed for tax deduction by another family member (e.g., your spouse is claiming a child on their tax form).

Dependents Receiving Retirement Allowance (Inhabitant's Tax Section)

This is a very rare case. Only list a spouse or dependent who is receiving a retirement allowance from a company.
